Some animals can use tools. The Egyptian vulture picks up a stone in its beak to use as a hammer. It then smashes open an egg so it can eat what is inside. But if we replace the real egg by a painted wooden one, the vulture still keeps trying to smash it. So maybe this bird is not so clever after all! The cleverest birds are probably members of the parrot and crow families.
