Yes, small groups of people are taken to the gorillas' habitat. There are strict rules and people have to be extremely careful not to disturb the gorillas. Visitors are kept at a respectful distance and instructed how to behave. Human illnesses even the common cold can be caught by gorillas and could prove fatal, because they have no resistance to our diseases. So people should not attempt the trip if they feel at all unwell.
