Hinduism. The monkey god's name is Hanuman and his mischievous sense of humour often gets him into trouble. He plays an important part in one of Hinduism's scriptures, the Ramayana. In one story he helps Rama rescue his kidnapped wife, Sita. At holy festivals, Hindu men sometimes dress up as Hanuman.
