Which is the smallest wild dog?
The smallest alive today is the fennec fox, which lives in parts of Africa and the Middle East. The fennec fox is under threat from predators and habitat erosion. When born, a fennec cub weighs only 2 lb (0.8 kg); as an adult it will weigh about 3 lb (1.5 kg). The largest wild dog of all is the gray wolf an adult can weigh up to 176 lb (80 kg).
