Many people are frightened of spiders because of the unusual way they move. A fear of spiders (called arachnophobia, from the Latin words for spiders and fear) is one of the most common phobias in the world. Really, spiders should be afraid of humans because many of them, such as the bone cave harvestman, and the spruce-fir moss spider from the USA, are endangered.
