The dinosaurs are the best known prehistoric animals. Tyrannosaurus, which stood as tall as a house, was a flesh-eater that tore at its food with up to 60 teeth, each like a double edged saw. Not all dinosaurs were flesh eaters many ate plants. Some chewed them thoroughly; others gulped them down, and swallowed stones to help break them up in their stomachs.
