How big is a baby bear?
Although adult bears are so big, they have tiny babies. A huge polar bear, weighing more than several people, gives birth to cubs of only about 28 oz (800 g), far smaller than most human babies. Baby pandas are tinier still. The mother weighs up to 220 lb (100 kg) but her newborn cubs are only 3-5 oz (85-140 g).
