What is a dingo?
Dingoes are wild dogs that live in Australia. They are descended from dogs domesticated more than 3,500 years ago by the earliest aboriginal inhabitants. They live in family groups and hunt sheep and rabbits. A fence 3,307 miles (5,322 km) long has been built across southeastern Australia to try to keep dingoes out of important sheep-grazing lands.
