There are about 60 different species of kangaroo and wallaby. All live in Australia or New Guinea. The red kangaroo, which weighs about 198 lb (90 kg), is the largest, and the tiny musky rat kangaroo, weighing only 1.2 lb (0.5 kg), is the smallest.
