Yes they do. Although fruit is the main food of chimpanzees, they also eat insects and hunt young animals such as monkeys. Male chimpanzees usually do the hunting. They work together in a group, some cutting a couple of animals out of the herd and driving them toward other chimps, who will make the kill. The rest of the troop then joins in to share the meat.
