Owls have excellent sight, even in low light, and extremely sharp hearing. Even in complete darkness they can pinpoint where a sound is coming from and swoop. Owls also have special soft-edged wing feathers which make very little noise as they beat their wings. This allows them to approach prey with scarcely a sound
