The biggest, strongest spider webs are built by golden orb-weaver spiders of Papua New Guinea. Their gigantic wheel-shaped webs can measure 5 feet (1.5 m) across. The "guy-ropes" that support the webs are even longer, measuring an astonishing 19 feet (6 m) in length.
