What makes a leaf-tailed gecko invisible?
The leaf-tailed gecko, of Madagascar, spends the day head-down on a tree trunk. You might think that this would make it an easy target for enemies - but you'd be wrong! The gecko is superbly camouflaged. Its dappled green-brown skin matches the color of the bark perfectly. Its large, flat tail, and ragged frill of skin make it look just like a woody bump.
