Caterpillars make tasty meals for rainforest birds. To scare off hungry predators, the hawkmoth caterpillar waves its body to look like a miniature snake. It also flashes the big false eyes on its underside, to make it look more threatening. Hawkmoths live in rainforests all over the world.
