Which rainforest bird helps people find honey?
The honeyguide is a small bird that lives in Africa and Asia. Like many rainforest birds, it feeds on insects, but its favorite food is beeswax. In Africa, honeyguides and local people help each other. The bird leads them to a bees' nest, flying and calling, to show the way. Then men climb the tree and break the nest open. They take the honey and leave the beeswax, for the bird to feast on.
