Which is the laziest rainforest animal?
The laziest animal in the rainforest has to be the three-toed sloth, from South America. This idle animal spends about 18 hours a day hanging upside down from a tree branch, fast asleep. It spends the rest of the time looking for food. Unusually, its shaggy hair also grows upside down, from its belly towards its back. This is so that the rain runs off it more easily, and the sleepy sloth does not get waterlogged!
